Section 1

This law shall be cited as the National Anthem Act.

Section 2

The purpose of this Act is to formally establish the Official National Anthem of Bearland.

Section 3

The musical composition titled “The Great North” is hereby declared the Official Peacetime National Anthem of Bearland.

The musical composition titled “Polar Power” is hereby declared the Official Wartime National Anthem of Bearland.

No other musical work may replace either Anthem unless amended by law.

Section 4

The National Anthems of Bearland may not be used to generate profit. They are to remain open to the public and available for anyone to hear, share, or perform without cost.

The following actions are prohibited:
• Selling or licensing either Anthem
• Placing the Anthem behind a paywall or limiting access for financial gain
• Using the Anthem as part of a commercial promotion or advertisement

The Anthems must not be used in a way meant to insult or degrade the Nation or its symbols.

Non-commercial use, creative interpretation or educational presentation, is allowed as long as it does not limit public access or generate revenue.
