Digital Citizen ID Cards Halted, Silver Has Worst Day Since the 1980s

Officials have announced a pause on the issuance of Digital Citizen ID Cards while the system is being upgraded. For the time being, no new digital or physical cards will be issued. Citizenship applications will continue to move forward, although some applicants may notice minor slowdowns during the transition.

Bearland is in the process of shifting toward a physical citizen ID card system, which requires new production and distribution arrangements. Since physical cards cannot be delivered electronically, the existing email-based digital card system will be phased out as part of this change. The physical card program is expected to begin on a voluntary basis, starting with citizens who have relatively easy access to Bearland Palace, before expanding to citizens abroad. More details will be shared once the system is ready to launch.

Officials also addressed a few recurring questions from citizens, particularly around why Citizen ID Cards have expiration dates and what happens when they expire. The expiration is intended only as a routine check to ensure records remain current. When a card expires, nothing else changes. Citizenship status is unaffected, and a replacement can be requested directly from Bearland Palace.

In a separate development, silver suffered its steepest single day drop since the 1980s, sending shockwaves through silver markets and briefly pulling Bear down with it. While both have since recovered somewhat from the lows, trading remains volatile, and officials caution that further short-term swings are possible.

Updates on the citizen ID system and ongoing market conditions will be released as they become available.
